The La Jolla Woman's Club was established in 1894 and the clubhouse was a gift from Ellen Browning Scripps and she chose Irving J. Gill as her Architect. The building is on both the National and State Registers of Historic Buildings and is famous for its' beautiful design and amazing gardens. The La Jolla Woman's Club Mission is: inspire, support, and connect women through education, civic engagement, and leadership. The Club has a history of volunteering and philanthropy. Members are expected and encouraged to serve on committees help with events, and support the Club with all its endeavors.
Our member luncheons are held on the first Monday of every month from October to June, from 11:30am-1:30pm, and feature speakers or entertainment. You may arrive a bit early to chat, get your name tag, and socialize, etc. Post COVID, we started holding an Alfresco lunch in our Garden on the first Monday of August, and will most likely continue this tradition.
The cost for our lunches is $40 and you can pay online at
https://lajollawomansclub.org/membership or by mailing a check to 715 Silverado St. La Jolla, CA 92037.
The check does need to be received by the Wednesday prior to the Monday lunch. We have a networking table for our members to place any marketing materials, business cards or flyers you would like to share.
